Andrea Dama

Andrea Dama is a contemporary visual artist known for her striking exploration of texture, color, and form across a range of media. Born in 1987 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dama’s multicultural background and early exposure to both Latin American and European artistic traditions heavily influence her work, infusing it with a sense of movement and emotional complexity. After studying fine arts at the National University of Arts in Buenos Aires, she furthered her education in Paris, where she developed a unique visual language merging abstraction with subtle figurative elements.

Dama’s practice is characterized by her innovative layering techniques and experimental use of materials, often incorporating elements such as textiles, found objects, and organic substances to evoke tactile, sensory experiences. Her work has been exhibited internationally, with solo and group exhibitions in cities like Berlin, New York, Barcelona, and São Paulo. Frequently drawing inspiration from nature, memory, and urban landscapes, Andrea Dama’s art invites viewers into immersive environments that challenge conventional boundaries between disciplines.

Today, she divides her time between her studios in Buenos Aires and Berlin, continuously pushing the limits of contemporary art through her multidisciplinary approach.
