Amygdala

Amygdala is an experimental music project from Italy, formed in 2018 by multidisciplinary artist Giovanni Bellini. Drawing inspiration from neuropsychology, avant-garde electronica, and the urban landscapes of Milan, Amygdala crafts immersive soundscapes that blur the boundaries between ambient, industrial, and minimal techno. Bellini’s fascination with human emotion and the subconscious is palpable in every release, weaving haunting melodies with fragmented field recordings and modular synth textures.

Amygdala’s debut EP, “Echoes of the Cortex,” was met with critical acclaim in the European underground scene, earning airplay on independent radio and spots at renowned festivals like NODE and Flussi. Through live performances characterized by audio-visual installations and generative art, Amygdala invites audiences to experience music as a deeply emotional journey, challenging traditional perceptions of structure and sound. With each new work, the project continues to push boundaries, solidifying its reputation as an innovative voice in contemporary Italian experimental music.
