Alvaro is a contemporary visual artist known for his dynamic approach to color, form, and emotion. Born in 1989 in São Paulo, Brazil, he began exhibiting an affinity for art at an early age, influenced by the vibrant urban culture of his hometown. After earning a degree in Fine Arts from the University of São Paulo, Alvaro expanded his artistic practice through travels in Europe and Asia, drawing inspiration from both modernist movements and indigenous craft traditions.
His work spans painting, sculpture, and large-scale installations, characterized by abstract compositions that evoke both chaos and harmony. Alvaro’s art has been featured in exhibitions worldwide, including shows at the Museu de Arte Moderna de São Paulo, the Tate Modern in London, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo. Through his creative process, Alvaro explores themes of identity, displacement, and memory, inviting viewers to reflect on the emotional landscapes of daily life.
Dedicated to fostering inclusivity within the arts, he also volunteers as a mentor for young artists in underserved communities. Alvaro currently lives and works between São Paulo and Berlin.
