Alex Medina

Alex Medina is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the intersections of identity, memory, and urban landscapes. Born in 1987 in Los Angeles, California, Medina developed an early fascination with graffiti and street art, influences that continue to echo throughout his multidisciplinary practice. After receiving a BFA from the California Institute of the Arts, Medina immersed himself in the city’s vibrant art scene, experimenting with a mix of painting, digital media, and installation.

His pieces are often characterized by vivid color palettes, layered textures, and a blend of figurative and abstract elements that invoke a sense of nostalgia and longing. Medina’s work has been exhibited in prominent galleries across the United States and internationally, and he has participated in artist residencies in Berlin and Mexico City. Through his art, Medina aims to evoke an emotional response while prompting viewers to question their own relationship with place and memory.

He currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
