Agraybé is a multidisciplinary artist whose work traverses painting, sculpture, and digital media, creating immersive environments that blur the boundaries between the real and the imagined. Born in 1991 in Nairobi, Kenya, and currently based in Berlin, Agraybé draws inspiration from their multicultural upbringing, infusing their art with themes of displacement, memory, and the unseen connections between people and their environments. Their evocative use of color and texture is informed by early exposure to both urban landscapes and East African craft traditions, resulting in compositions that feel at once grounded and otherworldly.
Agraybé has exhibited internationally, with solo and group shows in London, Accra, and New York, and was awarded the Emerging Voices Fellowship from the Berlin Art Institute in 2021. Renowned for their collaborative installations and participatory performances, Agraybé continues to challenge conventional notions of identity, space, and storytelling through a constantly evolving practice.
