Adrian Skibowski is a contemporary visual artist known for his evocative explorations of memory, identity, and urban landscapes. Born in Gdańsk, Poland in 1987, Skibowski developed an early fascination with both architecture and the emotive power of color, influences that would shape his artistic practice throughout his career. After completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he embarked on a body of work that seamlessly blends elements of abstraction and realism.
Skibowski’s paintings and installations often depict fragmented cityscapes or interiors, rendered in layered textures and nuanced, atmospheric hues that evoke a sense of nostalgia and contemplation. His work has been exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions across Europe and North America, earning critical praise for its innovative use of space and its ability to capture the transient, dreamlike qualities of urban life. In addition to his painting practice, Skibowski has collaborated with architects and theater directors, further expanding his creative dialogue with space and environment.
Currently based in Berlin, he continues to push the boundaries of contemporary painting, drawing inspiration from both the past and present to create works that invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences of place and memory.
